The artwork will be located on the reverse side of the contemporary library building (see images). The library is located in a very busy, urban setting near one of the major highways in Dallas. However, the library is set back from the main street by a grassy knoll that will be featuring a splash park in the future.
The artwork is intended to wrap around the corner of the building and will be seen from several nearby streets.

Artwork Goals
The goal is to enhance the community’s identity and experience at the library. A mural and/or 3D wall art should convey hope to this urban, underserved area and/or speak of our multicultural communities or the love residents have for the learning opportunities this library brings to their families. The artwork should complement the contemporary library building that is entirely and sustainably powered by its roof solar panels.
Topics mentioned in our community survey are urban wildlife such as coyotes, bunnies, and raccoons, a representation of diverse nationalities that reside in this area, or perhaps something that represents the explosion of growth in this area.
We positively encourage a mixed media artwork combining a mural with 3D sculptural
elements. These applications will receive preference
