Would you like to create a mural for the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague, the Netherlands, in June? Submit your design for a chance to win a unique opportunity to showcase your talent and creativity. NATO is launching its third annual mural competition to mark a NATO summit and highlight the Alliance’s vital role in protecting one billion people across Europe and North America. The first mural was created for the 2023 Vilnius Summit in Lithuania and unveiled in January 2024. A competition was held to select the designer of the mural commemorating NATO’s 75th anniversary summit in Washington, D.C. in 2024. Now, NATO is calling on young artists from across the Alliance to submit their proposals in view of the upcoming 2025 NATO Summit in The Hague. The winner will work with a local street artist to immortalise their mural on a wall in the city. This year’s competition theme is: “Maintaining our Shared Future”. Young artists are asked to submit entries in a 3D street-art style that creates an optical illusion via three-dimensional impressions on a two-dimensional horizontal surface.
