The murals will be on a concrete retaining wall with a troweled texture that extends from the intersection of E. Rock to S. Block. The wall faces predominantly south, with the ends facing slightly east and west, respectively. This section of Nelson Hackett Blvd. currently receives some pedestrian traffic but primarily automobile traffic. The intent is to fill this wall with murals over time. This commission for this RFP is the South/Western end, adjacent and blending into the Joelle Storet’s “Remembrance” mural installed in 2024. The wall is approximately 7.5 feet high and extends four sections of the retaining wall or approximately 100 linear feet.
