Venice Community Housing (VCH) and the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) are inviting artists or artist teams to be considered to work as creative partners to design and implement public art and/or creative solutions at 400 Centinela Avenue in Inglewood, CA. This site is the future location of Sankofa Place at Centinela, a 100% affordable housing development, that also includes SJLI’s headquarters. VCH and SJLI are seeking artist(s) to work collaboratively with VCH and SJLI staff and Architects The AERO Collective and The Architects Collective, within the community context of Inglewood. The goal is to enhance the location with artistic design elements and public artwork that pays homage to the vibrant and diverse people that call Inglewood home.
