We are seeking visionary artists to design a transformative mural that celebrates the unique identity of Fort Pierce while enhancing the aesthetic of City Hall. A proposed mural will be painted on the exterior south and east walls of the newly renovated Florida Highwaymen Museum, located at 1234 Avenue D, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. The image, which has been selected captures the essence and culture of the Highwaymen artists. The City of Deerfield Beach will be one-hundred years old on June 25, 2025 and the city is seeking the creation of murals which show the history of the city over this time. The artist/entity may focus on the history of the city, its people, historic landmarks, geography, natural and built environment, but may also demonstrate events that occurred over the one-hundred-year span, provided it is relative to the City’s experience of those event(s). Murals may be created in whatever style the artist sees best fit for their mural. As these pieces are related to the City’s celebration of its 100-year anniversary, there is a strict timeline with regards to completion. All murals must be complete and ready for public display three months after the date of the contract signing.
