This mural was created to brighten the schoolyard at Lafayette Elementary School in West Seattle, which has several large, grey portable classrooms in the back parking lot by the playground. This design was inspired by the school's mascot, the Lafayette Leopards, and is intended to create a sense of joy and playfulness.

I am originally from the East Coast and currently live in Seattle, where I moved for a job in Commercial Art back in 2017. While I love Seattle, I enjoy exploring new places and would love to travel for a mural project. I've been making art all my life and recently began focusing on my personal and professional practice within the public art realm. I have years of experience managing large commercial art projects for an art consulting company, and am currently the Project Director at Urban ArtWorks, which is a Seattle-based mural and youth nonprofit. At Urban ArtWorks, I oversee our commissioned projects from initial intake to installation, and I'm well-versed in the nuances of making a mural successful, including project management, planning, and production. I love making murals and am excited to push the boundaries of what I can do.
