This mural was created for The Unforgotten Haven in Blackwood, commissioned by Jaws Youth Playbook to celebrate the nonprofit’s growing community garden. The Haven is known for its heart-first work and constant acts of kindness, so the design leans into that spirit of nourishment and abundance. Oversized fruits, vegetables, and blooms burst from the recessed “window,” symbolizing how generosity can grow far beyond what’s planted. The golden Haven logo rises like protective wings, anchoring the piece in their message of hope, care, and community support. It’s bold, joyful, and meant to inspire the same giving energy the Haven pours into the neighborhood every day.Styles used:
Alysia is a New Jersey–based mural artist who has spent more than twenty years transforming walls into moments of warmth, color, and quiet wonder. Her work leans toward bold imagery and dimensional, imaginative compositions, always designed to feel rooted in the places and people around them.
A graduate of the University of the Arts and a mom of two, she brings a mix of heart, curiosity, and steady craft to every project. Whether she’s painting a storefront, a community space, or a multi-story exterior, her goal is the same: to create murals that surprise you gently, draw you in, and stay with you long after you’ve walked past them.
