About this mural:
This mural of a cherry red Impala, is a colorful salute to the beautiful lowrider cars that cruise the streets of many California towns. This culture of bold flamboyance is how I like to express my Chicano upbringing. I paint the lowriders in a “stained glass” style in order to highlight and honor this pastime. At one time these cars were looked down upon, and “anti-cruising” laws tried to stifle the culture in many towns. Today, I honor these cars, and the colorful culture they represent through my murals.
