I wanted to personify justice. The concept of justice being something that is tangible living, breathing and evolving with the times, my Lady Justice is simply that. Lady Justice, a blindfolded woman carrying a sword and a set of scales, is a common symbol on courthouses in America and inside some courtrooms. As a person who identifies as a female Black American, Brittney’s perspective of life is unique; her art brings representation for this often overlooked demographic. It is Brittney’s intent to uplift, celebrate and teach her community using art as a vessel.
