About this mural:
Keeping within the realm of healing the community through public art, we wanted to uphold the power of mending and healing. Shak and I meditated on these two words that seemed to leap from the slide presentation; mending and healing, healing and mending, mending and healing . . . the words flow in a rhythmic weaving of sorts. Brittney Price is a Los Angeles based fine artist and muralist specializing in impactful visual commentary on current events. As a person who identifies as a female Black American, Brittney’s perspective of life is unique; her art brings representation for this often overlooked demographic. It is Brittney’s intent to uplift, celebrate and teach her community using art as a vessel. She has recently completed campaigns with Change.org, Paint the City Peaceful, Beverly Center, We Rise LA, ABC7, NBC, NBCLX and LA Commons.
