About this mural:
I was commissioned by Microsoft to create a mural in their new offices in Atlantic Yards that reflected my artistic style. I landed on an abstract and colorful composition that was intended to reflect how a myriad of elements can co-exist harmoniously. I named it "One of Many", as it was painted mid-pandemic and I wanted to explore the many emotions we as a collective society were feeling.

Christina Kwan is an Atlanta-based artist known for her abstract works on paper and large scale murals. Originally from South Florida, Kwan moved to Atlanta in 2010 after graduating from University of Florida with a BFA in Drawing. A decade and many different career paths later, the work she creates is an ongoing exploration of her Asian-American identity and the internal struggle of feeling incomplete or existing in-between. Kwan's work has been shown in a variety of commercial galleries and academic institutions while her murals span all across Metro Atlanta in places such as Emory University, Marietta Square, and Microsoft's Atlantic Yards. Her compositions feature bold and calligraphic brush strokes inspired by her East Asian heritage, acting as a yearning for permanence and a search for ancestral ties.
