Basketball court mural Mural Art

Based in Birmingham, UK, I work from my narrowboat home and a shared city art space, drawing inspiration from the ever-changing environments around me. I have been painting throughout my life and have exhibited in solo and group shows across the UK, Malta, India, France and the USA. In the early 2000s I was represented by a Wimbledon-based gallery Advocate Art, furthering my practice with residencies in Sweden, India and France, and in 2008 my entry to the Society of Women Artists Annual Open Exhibition received the Young Artist Award.
Over the past two years I have focused on mural painting, creating work for private, commercial and public settings. Recent projects include a public art piece in Droitwich Spa celebrating the town’s historic salt-bath heritage, completed in collaboration with the local council. My client list includes Kia, Basketball England, and a range of community-led projects in Birmingham, where I have also contributed to collaborative live art and movement performances.
I am currently concentrating on murals and live art collaborations, with a passion for taking visual art beyond traditional gallery spaces. My aim is to create work that connects with people directly, becoming part of the places and communities it inhabits.
