I was commissioned by Rivercrest Bar in Astoria, NYC to paint an entire wall of their bar, as well as an indented seating area. The goal was to make patrons and staff alike feel immersed in my “doodle universe”. The bar is named after a famous 19th century sanitarium, so the influence was to use that mindset while making the style fun and poppy.
