About this mural:
I was commissioned by Rivercrest Bar in Astoria, NYC to paint an entire wall of their bar, as well as an indented seating area. The goal was to make patrons and staff alike feel immersed in my “doodle universe”. The bar is named after a famous 19th century sanitarium, so the influence was to use that mindset while making the style fun and poppy.

Dan Petersen is a Brooklyn-based visual artist and muralist. He largely works within the abstract realm, with a strong embrace of the psychedelic, typically using acrylic paint. He has painted several public murals in LA and NYC.
