About this mural:
The AIDS Food Store of Long Beach or AFS has been providing food to people with food insecurity, those affected by HIV/ AIDS, the LGBTQ community, as well as the discounted, disconnected, and disregarded since 1985. I painted their initials with a patterning of eyes, hearts, and food to create a connected community feel. There are pop out Brocks throughout so my design solution was to put a positive word on each of those in English, Spanish, Cambodian, and Tagalog reflecting their clients.
