Together we’re fighting hunger Mural Art
About this mural:
This mural was produced to honor and celebrate the many volunteers who process food in this space for the Greater Baton Rouge Foodbank. The goal the clients sought was something to show the closing of the loop of hunger. I had the opportunity to design freely, and the infinity symbol resonates with the endless dependence on each other and the community to keep this loop closed. The red line is a talisman of protection, beauty, and love both within and beyond each of ourselves.

Ellen Ogden is a freelance artist and muralist based in Baton Rouge. Her work is a collaboration with designers, businesses, non-profits, and individuals, embedding love into an aesthetic experience through vibrant painterly and text-based art. She has a passion for connecting color, community, entrepreneurship and intention, as well as a background in fine art/art history from LSU, sign art and murals with Trader Joe’s, and Stained Glass with local artist Stephen Wilson. Outside of producing art for clients, she enjoys landscape painting, learning yoga and exploring mindful healing modalities, traveling, connecting with other artists, attending art events, viewing public art, museums and galleries, and actively engaging with the outdoors.
