About this mural:
This 18x9' public outdoor mural was designed and created by the artist as a gift to the Oakland community where she resided for 7 years. This piece was made in support of the BLM movement of 2020 and was created on the boarded up windows of a business that had closed as a result of COVID-19. This piece utilizes the vibrant and loose can style that is seen throughout the city, while juxtaposing a strong, realist portrait of a community resident and friend to the artist.
