This piece is titled “Trojan Horse”. We see the central figure interacting with a Yellow Billed Magpie—a bird that is native to this area of California. Symbolically this Magpie is regarded as a rebellious creature. As women it is important for us to embrace the rebellious aspects of our personalities so that we can see beyond standard concepts and procedures. The Magpie represents that duality between darkness and light, between the negative and positive.

As a professional artist that has been working in the field for nearly a decade, I am passionate about precision, color theory, and the proper achievement of a visual goal. My style ranges from realism to abstraction with specialization in portraiture and foliage, as well as an emphasis on graphic forms.
