About this mural:

This mural design celebrates the natural beauty and regional diversity of South Carolina. Within the outline of the state, the composition is divided into three distinct landscape sections representing the Upstate, Midlands, and Lowcountry. At the center, cypress trees symbolize the Midlands region, foregrounded by the Lugoff water tower to reflect the location of this Target fulfillment facility. The mural also features the Carolina wren, the state bird, a blue heron, and native flowers including the magnolia blossom and yellow jessamine, South Carolina’s state flower. The South Carolina state flag emerges subtly in the background, extending beyond the state outline to unify the piece.
