I was a lead artist to design and execute a mural in collaboration with the City of Fitchburg (Massachusetts), the Commonwealth Mural Institute, and Goodspace Murals. Me and my team worked with high school students from the Spartacus YMCA after school program all of whom assisted as our inspiration and subject matter for the design. It was our mission to give a voice and representation to young people in the community so that they too could be inspired to become locally involved in their own community.

I love making large scale outdoor mural work. I love how it brings art to the people taking it out of the confines of white walled gallery and museum elitism. I have personally witnessed the power of public art, and how it inspires and fosters community engagement. There is nothing more satisfying than a design materializing on a wall as people drive by honking their horns and shouting words of encouragement!
