This mural was a private commission with the restaurant Tacos Tequila. It depicts an agave farmer harvesting the root of the agave cactus used in the distilling process to make tequila. Our mural team is committed to bringing impactful art to small businesses to increase awareness for local patrons. Elmer Melendez is originally from Guatemala, and now owns and operates several successful restaurants throughout north central Massachusetts, and he is an enormous supporter of local artist, so it was a pleasure to have our artistic and business ideologies align so beautifully.

I love making large scale outdoor mural work. I love how it brings art to the people taking it out of the confines of white walled gallery and museum elitism. I have personally witnessed the power of public art, and how it inspires and fosters community engagement. There is nothing more satisfying than a design materializing on a wall as people drive by honking their horns and shouting words of encouragement!
