Thirsty Robot Mural Art
About this mural:
This mural was commissioned by a small and independent brewery called Thirsty Robot. Bill DiMario, the owner and brewer, and is a former mechanical engineer-- hence the name, Thirsty Robot! This mural was a very cathartic experience. The design is based off of a drawing I did nearly 21 years ago when I first moved to New York City. When I showed Bill my portfolio, and he was immediately fixated on my drawing "Robot Love" and he said, "Make a mural of that, it works perfect!" It was really cool to see a drawing from another lifetime become a centerpiece mural for a great local brewery.

I love making large scale outdoor mural work. I love how it brings art to the people taking it out of the confines of white walled gallery and museum elitism. I have personally witnessed the power of public art, and how it inspires and fosters community engagement. There is nothing more satisfying than a design materializing on a wall as people drive by honking their horns and shouting words of encouragement!
