California Canyon Mural Art
About this mural:
The client wanted their backyard to extend as far as the eye could see. I pulled in flowers and plants that they had in their existing garden - chili plants, an orange tree, lots of succulents. The sky colors are the same as the buildings behind the mural, helping creating that endless view. The ridge of the Santa Monica mountains are in the distance.

Inspired by nature's colors, textures and patterns, Jen LaVita loves to bring scenes to life with paint. Jen uses saturated and unexpected colors and bold brush stokes to create vibrant scenes. She works across a spectrum of styles from loose and painterly to more graphic with clean lines. Her use of color is bright, bold and happy.
She draws inspiration from the beauty around her when exploring outside, time at the beach and her love for all animals and sea life. Originally from outside Boston, Jen went to college at Syracuse University in New York, then served four years as an U.S. Army Officer. She is now an artist working in the westside of Los Angeles.
