Ocean Time Capsule Mural Art
About this mural:
This sprawling mural is 600sq ft surrounding the backyard pool of a private home. The stone bench was transformed into treasure chests bursting with gold and other items. The mural features the family's three kids and is a "time capsule" with hidden items of significance to them like a tennis racket, music notes, poker chips and a movie script. It also features huge octopus tentacles around the dark corner and two other children, a dolphin and lots of coral and fish.

Inspired by nature's colors, textures and patterns, Jen LaVita loves to bring scenes to life with paint. Jen uses saturated and unexpected colors and bold brush stokes to create vibrant scenes. She works across a spectrum of styles from loose and painterly to more graphic with clean lines. Her use of color is bright, bold and happy.
She draws inspiration from the beauty around her when exploring outside, time at the beach and her love for all animals and sea life. Originally from outside Boston, Jen went to college at Syracuse University in New York, then served four years as an U.S. Army Officer. She is now an artist working in the westside of Los Angeles.
