Students may stand in front of the wall for photos so it looks like they have the wings of a monarch butterfly. It includes the text of the theme of the 2021-2022 school year at Holy Family: Transformados en Cristo / Transformed in Christ. The monarch butterfly is an endangered species. It pollinates many types of flowers, and its habitat spans much of the North American continent: some parts of Canada, and most of the US and Mexico. It represents transformation and migration. Created in collaboration with teaching artist Nathalie Herridge and Holy Family Bilingual Catholic School.

JP Anderson is an artist, musician, and educator in Seattle, WA.
His art has been exhibited in Seattle and San Diego; and he has taught art, music, English, and Spanish in Seattle, Tacoma, and Tecate, Mexico.
He studied art at Shoreline Community College and Pratt Fine Arts Center. After transferring to the University of Washington for undergrad, he completed his Master’s in Spanish at the University of Salamanca, where he wrote his thesis on Spanish art as a form of protest.
One of his primary art mediums is mural painting, which he currently teaches with Urban ArtWorks in Seattle. Some of the murals he has designed and painted are at Shoreline Community College, Holy Family Bilingual Catholic School, Lowell Elementary School, and Alki Elementary School.
