About this mural:
This mural was commissioned by a family who wanted the daughter's room to have horses running in the water on the beach. I completed this mural in a few days, and added a gorgeous sunset to add more color to the mural .

Julie Young is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, and creator based in Fort Collins. She creates paintings, murals, textile art, and circus performances that invite moments of contemplation, joy, and wonder. Her work explores storytelling, transformation, and the ways humans connect with each other and the natural world.
She moves between many creative disciplines: mural painting, live painting, circus arts, clowning, immersive performance, and community art experiences. Julie sees each form of art as a different language for expressing emotion, curiosity, and connection. Painting has always been her first love and earliest form of storytelling.
At the heart of Julie's work is her desire to create experiences that feel meaningful, immersive, and a little magical—art that encourages people to slow down, reconnect with wonder, and feel more connected to the world around and within them.
