My name is KuazeOne, Growing up in the 80s and 90s help mold me as a writer, we didn’t have the internet to influence our development of style, in my era you could tell when a writer was from a certain area (city, state, region). I grew up in East Chicago, Indiana and had the fortune of seeing firsthand a handful of artists that not only uplifted our town but competed hand in hand with the biggest Midwestern cities including Chicago. As a 13 year old 8th grade kid I remember seeing Rooster and Oms from the Hitmen crew, Ish and Traz of TuffBoys, Slash and Betski of GForce just to name a few create beautiful masterpieces throughout the city. Some other influential writers from my era were, Kap Kool, Skan, Blue, Fuse, East, Kay 9, Buster, Watz, Kase, Tick, Ceaze, Taki, and Flex. Thats the same year i saw the movie Dreams dont Die and I was blown away by the graffiti in it, couldnt wait to get a pilot and start tagging! After graduating from EC Central I attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago and there while studying to be a graphic Designer I met a handful of talented graffiti writers that would mold me into the writer I have become. Graffiti opened the door to an art career that I enjoyed for over 25 years. As a graphic designer working in Chicago I tried my handat magazine publishing, I created VolumeOne an urban graffiti magazine aimed at Representing the Midwest and showcasing the art from our region. Being stuck in the middle of the country and not getting a lot of the shine like brothers/sisters from the east and west coast were getting I wanted to be the voice of the middle and I enjoyed a great run with the magazine. My distribution landed us throughout the states, Canada, Mexico, Australia and parts of Europe as well. Currently I have a limited edition signed and numbered Hard cover book spotlighting the ATT crew, Issue 15 Hard cover special edition featuring ssues 12, 13, 14, 15 and The Midwest’s first ever Graffiti Board Game “HOT 110” available through BIG Cartel @ kuazeone.bigcartel.com order yours today! I have traveled the country painting at graffiti and music events. I paint graffiti because no other art form compares to it, the freedom, the spirit and flow of the moment is an amazing feeling that makes you feel alive. I represent the ATT crew, 3A crew, SouthShoreSlayers and TheAlphabetChildren...Midwest Masters...
