About this mural:
I was commissioned to create a signage mural for a local tattoo shop, Ancient Ink Tattoo. The design incorporates custom lettering, a tattoo inspired flower design, and references to Mayan and Japanese tattoo culture. Both are significant to the shop's owner Luar, who was trained in the Yucatan and is also the only artist in Austin trained in the art of traditional Japanese Tebori tattoos!

I design murals for corporate and residential clients in Austin, Tx. I attended college at Texas State University (Southwest Texas) in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I began my career working in graphic design, but felt that working digitally was missing the hands-on experience that is unique to traditional art. I now combine my experience creating graphics with my love of traditional painting to design customized art pieces for my clients! I have worked on both solo and collaborative projects in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Uvalde, New Braunfels, and a growing list of areas around Texas.
