This portrait mural was completed for a local chef who wanted to turn his plain white fence into a dynamic background for backyard entertaining. The request was for three inspirational chef portraits on different colored backgrounds on his vinyl fence. I was later recommissioned to paint animal silhouettes in the panels between the portraits. This project was completed with plastic primer, acrylic paint, and a removable varnish to protect the portraits from the elements. I design murals for corporate and residential clients in Austin, Tx. I attended college at Texas State University (Southwest Texas) in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I began my career working in graphic design, but felt that working digitally was missing the hands-on experience that is unique to traditional art.
