Reflections of the Past Mural Art
About this mural:
This piece was commissioned by Black Gate Partners in Worthington, Ohio. The client asked for something that showed a city scene. I was inspired by the insurance maps of the Sanborn Map Company and proposed something similar to this which got me the job. The scenes on the left and right of the middle image show Worthington, Ohio from the 50s and 40s, respectively.

My name is Lee Van Mora And I make my living doing commissions for private clients and businesses near and in the greater Columbus Area.
I have been painting since I was 15 years old. I have worked for MuralWorks of Columbus, painting in many churches in Columbus. I’m currently freelancing as a fine artist and muralist independently.
I create mostly acrylic paintings in a range of styles as well as dabble in sculpture in my spare time. My work is generally defined by sharp lines and flat colors but I do enjoy painting realistically when I work small scale.
