I’m an artist...just saying that sends chills through me. Growing up in the Bronx, never imagined I could be an artist as a profession. I didn’t know how that looked or even if it was possible. Breakthrough for me, was when I was 14 and my mother showed me a documentary of the Harlem Renaissance. It was a seed planted that neither one of us realized.
