About this mural:

I was hired by Art in Session Now, a nonprofit arts organization to create these 2 pieces for a new complex and shopping plaza in Santa Monica. Instead of store fronts the developers wanted public art instead for the community to enjoy.

Melanie is a muralist who specializes in hand painting with interior and exterior house paint. Her main focus is combining realism with abstract styles to really make the subject matter really pop. She is an LGBTQ+ artist who is passionate about activism and public art projects to get the community to come together.
