About this mural:
A Window Into Tuscaloosa’s Story I’m honored to share my latest work created in collaboration with Mammoth Murals, now overlooking the newly reimagined residences at The Druid, where Jack Warner Parkway meets Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa. The piece was conceived as a glimpse into the layers of history that continue to shape the city. Framed by the sweeping canopy of one of Tuscaloosa’s iconic druid oaks, the mural centers on the rail bridge carrying an 1800s locomotive across the Black Warrior River. Beyond, the ancient earthworks of Moundville rise on the horizon, connecting the city to the Indigenous cultures that shaped this landscape long before Tuscaloosa took its name from the great chief Tuskaloosa. My goal was to reflect the enduring relationship between people, memory, and the land itself.
