About this mural:
Painted in Osaka, Japan. This mural is an ode to Japanese culture. I researched and studied the culture to great fascination and admiration especially for it's art and design. The Ukiyo-e Japanese Art Movement has had a heavy influence on my art & design work. This mural is about all these sentiments and respect for this country and its culture. I feel that as citizens of the world it is important to be open to different realities and languages from our own and to connect with them.

Ms.Yellow (Nuria Ortiz) is a self-taught artist, muralist & craftswoman. Born in Long Beach, Ca of Mexican descent, she has dedicated her time to the creative development & empowerment of community & youth by developing workshops, murals & mentorship to the public. Her work explores themes such as culture, folklore, education, love & social justice. Her artwork/ murals have been displayed in museums, galleries & streets throughout Mexico, USA, Egypt, Haiti, Japan, Spain, France & Australia.
