Karina Vazquez is a Mexican-born, self-taught artist based in Long Beach, California whose public art practice centers on site-specific murals that respond to the history, culture, and energy of place. Her work translates personal visual language into large-scale public imagery, creating approachable and reflective moments within shared environments. She is interested in how murals can shape everyday space and foster connection through storytelling and visual presence.
Her public art practice includes participation in the Branded Arts Mural Festival in Los Angeles, a collaboration with CASETiFY in West Hollywood, and projects with the Long Beach Walls Mural Festival and the Long Beach Arts Council. She is a recipient of the Los Angeles Lakers “In the Paint” Art Program and has completed artist residencies in Mexico, including Moniker Foundation in Tulum and Uadombo in Hidalgo.
