About this mural:
Inspired by the cast of characters that would walk into Fishbowl everyday, I wanted to envelope the community in an environment that mirrors their own magic surrealism and the absurdity of modern life. Through influence from iconic Los Angeles street art like Atlas’s cat graffiti and the old Charly Temmel’s on the Venice boardwalk, as well as the Metro line, it’s been my goal to return some of the wonder to this incredible city by renovating what inspired me in the first place.

I saw murals as a kid, I was under the impression this was a wonderland. I saw stories being told, I wanted to tell my own; tales of curiosity, tales of magic in the land of dreams. I want to distort the human story in a way thats more fitting to this surreality. I want to create the world I was promised, a world where anything can happen; first step, is cleaning up.
