Southwestern raised artist, Tony Lemos (B.1980 Mesa, AZ), Finds art as his way of life. “A sense of air, a sense of presence,” is what Tony strives for in his drawing and painting. He believes all answers can be found in nature. Form studies of the figure gave him his true discipline of observation. When he discovered ephemeral art in college his perspective made a major shift. “Everything is fleeting and I am constantly gambling with time, chasing down the moments. You never know when the opportunity will be taken away or when you can no longer pay tribute to what it is that I am painting or living with.” Studio work is where it began, Tony also works in decorative finishes and murals for both residential and commercial construction projects. He has worked in galleries as both a consultant and preparator.
