About this mural:

Our mural “Colourful Volcano” to the back of Parnitha Casino was created over a period of four months by a group of four people and developed on an idea I had, of an animistic approach of the forest and the mythical inhabitants of Parnitha. In this work, in addition to the dominant vivid color, animals and various forms of forest vegetation are the protagonists. These also form the framework of its central point, where the mural offers an escape point to an alchemical universe. At the bottom of the mural, a celestial waterfall is depicted which through the mural is connected to the natural ground. The sun was depicted as a renaissance almighty defining the flow of light and energy towards life. At the same time we tried to highlight the animistic character of the elements as being spirits of the primordial intelligence of nature. The deers, the owl and the various plants look at the visitor, showing them the elements, the routes and the colorful horizon of the events that lead us to the forest. There, we are all in an accessible, earthly realization of the harmony that connects us to the secret truth of existence and universal intelligence. I chose not to include the man in this mural on purpose considering that they externally complement it through the intense experience of a giant painting. Perhaps the size and bright colors of the mural also serve as a reminder of this transcendent relationship and unity of man with nature.
