They say a picture says a thousand words. My Instagram must be like an encyclopedia then! To see my latest work and painting process, stalk me on Instagram: @zeelikespaint I'm a Texas-born contemporary painter, muralist, and mixed-media artist with over twelve years of painting experience, currently applying to the MFA program at the Yale School of Art. Based in the Dallas area, my practice spans fine art studio work, custom residential projects, and large-scale public and commercial murals—including recent commissions for luxury hotel brands like Hyatt, as well as vibrant custom installations for local dive bars, private residences, and suburban spaces. I pride myself on complete flexibility in concept and design, adapting seamlessly to bring any client's vision, space, or architectural request to life. My personal studio work explores the psychological landscapes of the suburban South through maximalist layering, pop debris, pseudo-mathematical scribbles, and architectural elements—confronting themes of identity, surveillance, and domestic claustrophobia. Across all scales and mediums, I combine high-energy design adaptability with deep conceptual grounding as I prepare for my solo show and the next chapter of my artistic practice.
