Kodjovi Sevon, better known as Jayo-V, is a Los Angeles based artist, who has been making his mark on the art scene. He was born to West African parents, where his mother ensured that all three of her children were immersed in their Togolese roots. From that, he has been able to combine his experiences growing up in one of the toughest parts in Philadelphia with his Togolese culture, to produce a diverse body of work. He is a true visionary in the way that he takes simple, as well as complex, subjects and transforms them in the only way that he knows how. He is more than a painter. He is more than a graffiti artist. He is an all-around visual creator.
