I am a Visual Artist and Educator that uses community muralism, drawing, performance and installations to manifest a body of work that proposes speculative narratives and new ways of understanding and re-interpreting public spaces. My process requires a collaborative and caring method of artistic research that centers emotional connections with collaborators and participants involved in my projects. Muralism is my primary tool of creation because it allows me to immerse myself and understand different communities and territories. With my work I am aiming for the articulation and activation of public spaces so it can reflect the stories of people inhabiting them, thus giving space to honor their legacies and histories.
