This campus location is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025; for more information about the organization, please visit https://www.pcom.edu/campuses/georgia-campus/ SCOPE The mural will be painted on an interior finished drywall, of approximately 1,200 sq. ft. in area. The mural should cover the entire surface of the wall as currently done by the existing wallpaper mural which is being replaced. There is one option associated within the scope of the project, which may/may not include adhering wallpaper material (refer to the details within this RFQ). BUDGET The all-inclusive budget for this project is UP TO $35,000 to include artist fees, supplies, travel, and other associated expenses. This budget would include the primary wall, and the addition of any “options” the artist may choose to incorporate – including texture or mosaic elements. (see Project Scope) IMPORTANT DATES: Deadline to submit: 5pm Eastern US Time on April 30, 2025 Selection Notification: May 21, 2025 Design and Installation: May-July for design with input from the committee. APPLY HERE -- https://www.maconartsalliance.org/muralfestival/ -- The goal of the 2025 Macon Mural Festival (MMF) is to brand Macon, GA as a vibrant and creative destination. This year, we are looking for artists to participate in this 3-day event. Each participating artist will be given a prepped wall to complete their mural and a $1,500 stipend plus $500 for supplies. The Festival will also provide lodging for all artists. Murals can be open theme but must be approved by the business that sponsors the wall. To kick off the festival, artists will arrive in Macon, GA on Thursday, September 11th. The festival will host a kick-off breakfast on Friday, September 12th, and then artists will have all day Friday and Saturday to complete their murals. All murals will be unveiled on Saturday, September 13th at our MMF Celebration Party. One artist will be selected as our featured artist in residence. The festival will provide the featured artist lodging, the largest wall, and a higher stipend for their mural materials. This artist will also receive the most press for the event. The Macon Mural Festival is hosted by Macon Arts Alliance. Macon Arts Alliance fosters support for the advancement of arts and culture in Central Georgia. The dimensions of the space are as follows: 37 FT long and 7 FT tall (259 SQ FT). The space is elevated 4 ft. from the ground up with seating in front of and directly below the mural wall. The mural will be installed in May/June of 2025. AaA is seeking original and engaging design concepts that serve as a tool to strengthen the narrative about Nashville International Airport, the city of Nashville, aviation and travel. We are looking for designs that promote the assets of the city of Nashville and Nashville International Airport. The mural should welcome travelers, create a sense of place, be a calming and engaging image in a busy environment and inspire the viewer with the highest quality design and craftsmanship. Installation of Mural The artist should be prepared to install the mural starting Mid-Late May 2025 and be complete on or before June 27, 2025. Artists are responsible for using the highest quality materials and for using a primer on the wall (ex: high quality artist grade acrylic paint and final clear coat sealer.) The artist may also propose other methods of installation that would be suitable for the space. The mural will be on view for approximately 4-6 years. This is subject to change. The artist and any assistants will be required to comply with all BNA security regulations when working in a secure area. $18,500 fee includes artist fee, all materials and installation.
