APP LINK -- https://www.stencibility.ee/opencalls/spraycation -- June 11-15, 2025 -- The Stencibility Festival's Spraycation is like a summer camp for street artists, providing similar conditions as working in the wild — creative freedom, walls, paint, and fellow artists to collaborate with. Spraycation gives time to get to know each other, take part in festival events, and most importantly - paint on the streets of Tartu! For us, the most important thing in street art is the creative freedom of the artists, so we won't ask for a design in advance, but we will introduce you to the city and suggest a selection of locations where the artworks can be born on the spot. With this freedom comes also responsibility - we expect the artists to care about the local city dwellers and create artworks that resonate with their surroundings. This year we will select 6 artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland and Estonia to join the festival. Street artists from all mediums are welcome to apply (painting, stencil, sticker, paste-up, sculpture, installation etc). During the festival, one can choose from nearly 30 pre-approved locations to create the artwork, ranging from small electrical cabinets to large walls. Artists can play with the city as a whole by choosing multiple locations, or choose one larger space to work there. In making the final selection, we will give preference to artists who have been more active on the streets independently, rather than participating in gallery exhibitions and doing commissions. - artist fee 300€ (with an invoice) - full artistic freedom – no pre-approved sketches required; - spray paint (MTN 94), acrylic paint, rollers, brushes, etc. - a selection of walls to paint; - accommodation in Tartu (June 11-15); - travel compensation up to 150€; - shared dinners with fellow artists and the festival team; - taking part of festival events: painting jam, street art tours, etc.
