Born in in Rota, Spain in 1969, Ron grew up in Tallahassee and earned his BFA at FSU in 1993. He has worked as an artist for 27 years. He lives in Thomasville GA where he paints and teaches art. Ron is an expressive realist. His paintings celebrate common and humble subjects elevated by their collaboration with light. His work is often described as "seemingly alive”. Thomson's goal is to compel the viewer to bypass thoughts about technique and create a communion between himself and his audience.
