APPLY HERE -- https://www.maconartsalliance.org/muralfestival/ -- The goal of the 2025 Macon Mural Festival (MMF) is to brand Macon, GA as a vibrant and creative destination. This year, we are looking for artists to participate in this 3-day event. Each participating artist will be given a prepped wall to complete their mural and a $1,500 stipend plus $500 for supplies. The Festival will also provide lodging for all artists. Murals can be open theme but must be approved by the business that sponsors the wall. To kick off the festival, artists will arrive in Macon, GA on Thursday, September 11th. The festival will host a kick-off breakfast on Friday, September 12th, and then artists will have all day Friday and Saturday to complete their murals. All murals will be unveiled on Saturday, September 13th at our MMF Celebration Party. One artist will be selected as our featured artist in residence. The festival will provide the featured artist lodging, the largest wall, and a higher stipend for their mural materials. This artist will also receive the most press for the event. The Macon Mural Festival is hosted by Macon Arts Alliance. Macon Arts Alliance fosters support for the advancement of arts and culture in Central Georgia. The park will feature areas for food trucks, green space for community activities, and a downtown gateway feature. The commissioned mural will celebrate Orlando’s iconic downtown cityscape and commemorate the City of Orlando’s 150th anniversary. PROJECT OVERVIEW Art Feature Budget: Up to $50,000 (This budget includes all costs related to materials, equipment, and artist fees.) EXTERNAL APP -- https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=15407 -- Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Public Art Review Board, is seeking submissions from one or more qualified artists or artist teams to develop artwork for “The Tasting Room” at the Orange County Convention Center. The proposed artwork should incorporate themes related to food preparation, chef imagery, and the Convention Center’s hydroponic gardens. Including imagery of Chef K would be considered a plus; however, general chef-related visuals focused on food preparation are also acceptable. “The Tasting Room” is a contemporary, stylish space inviting guests to experience the culinary expertise of Chef K and his dedicated team. Visitors can explore the venue's modern design while considering catering options for upcoming events. The selected artist(s) will be commissioned to create a site-specific horizontal artwork approximately 9’8” x 5’3”, to be installed on canvas or other approved materials. The design should take into account the space below the artwork to ensure adequate clearance for the display of food and beverages. Please include the size of framing in the overall measurements of the artwork.
