Proposed Artwork: Include a conceptual project proposal that communicates how your proposed artwork would look upon completion. Artists should convey their ideas in a way that allows the committee to fully picture their concept, be it through their verbal description, or visual mockups and sketches. Please be as detailed as possible (colors, media/materials used, etc).
Proposed Budget for project: provide an estimate of costs for your proposal
Past Work Samples: Submit 3-5 images with descriptions of relevant past artwork including year created, materials, and location (if applicable).

The Yadkinville Public Art Committee in partnership with the Yadkin Arts Council are seeking artists and artist teams to submit proposals for the installation of a permanent outdoor mural in downtown Yadkinville. Funding for this mural is being provided through a grant from the Town of Yadkinville and the Yadkinville Tourism Development Authority. This will be the first mural of an ongoing downtown mural project – the deadline outlined above is for the first selected mural but the possibility of additional murals being selected will be considered as more funding is obtained.
About the Location
The mural will be located at the corner of Elm St. and Jackson St. in downtown Yadkinville. The wall that will be used is on the side of the building that belongs to the Margaret Caudle Income Tax Services located at 119 South Jackson Street, Yadkinville, NC 27055 . The available surface area consists of painted brick and the proposed murals can be up to 12’ high by 30’ long.
Themes
Public Art themes suggested by the Yadkinville Public Art Committee include, but are not limited to: nature (plants, flowers, animals, etc.), music, and family. Artists submitting proposals may find it helpful to do research on Yadkin County to discover subject matter that may be of interest to our community including the cultural or historical significance of our area (agriculture, industrial, landscape).

The Public Art Commission of Huntersville, NC, is seeking an artist to showcase their work by painting the new sustainable bus stop bench.
Budget Description
The artist will receive a $3000.00 payment for title of the work. Funds secured through a Downtown Revitalization Grant from Electricities. The payment is intended to cover all costs associated with the project including, but not limited to, design, installation, materials, equipment, and protective finish coating.
Project Description
The vision is to beautify and enliven the bus stop structures by painting the new sustainable bench made from a retired wind turbine blade. The design should represent Huntersville, reflect the area and community and create a feeling of welcome. The committee is seeking original artwork suitable for outdoor public space.
Artwork Goals
We are looking to enliven and beautify this Mecklenburg County transit point to enhance the character and create a welcoming visual experience within the downtown area.
Artwork Location Description
Selected artists are responsible for transportation to and from the work site located at 416 Seagle St, Huntersville, NC 28078. Once the mural is completed, the town will place the bench at the bus stop on NC 115 in front of the Town Center Building (105 Gilead Rd.), which is also the home of Discovery Place Kids.

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Art Commission and Boston-Thurmond Community Network are issuing a Request for Qualifications for an artist or artist team to design and install asphalt murals in up to three locations throughout the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood.
Budget Description
This project is funded by the Boston Thurmond Community Network. An artist can be selected to paint up to three murals, totaling a budget of $17,000. The selection committee will determine whether this project will be awarded to one artist or three artists. The individual murals are budgeted as follows:
- Kimberley Park Elementary Crosswalk Murals: $4,250
- Cook Literacy Model School Crosswalk Murals: $4,250
- Paisley Magnet & Lowrance Middle School Intersection Mural: $8,500
Each mural’s budget is intended to pay for artist-design fees, insurance, materials, fabrication, and installation. The Boston Thurmond Community Network and the WS|FC Public Art Commission will cover additional costs for community paint days and road closures. Up to three finalists will be paid $250 to design and present a proposal.
