Phase III opportunities are listed in link. -- BUDGET DESCRIPTION -- This application is for multiple Art in Public Places (AIPP) commissions located at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). All Artwork project budgets are inclusive of artists’ fees, all phases of Artwork design, engineering, testing, prototyping, fabrication, permitting, installation, inspection, artists’ travel, public meetings, presentations, administration, taxes, and insurance relating to the project. Today, it’s a thriving destination known for its bustling shops, vibrant restaurants, and diverse entertainment options. Now, with a growing reputation as a premier Texas getaway, Granbury has added another highlight to its list: the Granbury Regional Airport. Located just off U.S. Highway 377, the airport recently unveiled a new 4,000-square-foot terminal and a mile-long runway. It’s quickly becoming a hub for both private aviation and corporate travel, with single-engine turboprops sharing the ramp with sleek corporate jets. One of the most striking features of the new terminal is its cove ceiling, which creates a soft, rounded look and incorporates integrated changing LED lighting within the cove to enhance its visual effect. This ceiling was specifically engineered to support a suspended sculpture weighing up to 450 pounds. The City of Granbury, through the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission (the Commission), is inviting artists to submit proposals for an original suspended sculpture and or mural to adorn the terminal’s cove ceiling. The City has allocated a budget of $10,000 for the design, fabrication, and installation of the piece.
