APPLY VIA LINK -- https://prairieronde.org/about/apply/ -- RESIDENCY APPLICATION
We’re looking for individuals who are highly independent, engaged and curious. We do not limit our residency to any specific medium, but rather are looking for diverse artists who can creatively interact with The Mill.
We host three sessions annually and accept 2 – 4 residents per session. Accepted residents receive a stipend of $2,000 for 5 – 6 weeks, a $500 travel grant and private housing. We work with residents to share their work with the community (a gallery show, public workshop or other).
THE RESIDENCY:
Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment project of the former Lee Paper Company mill, in the historic village of Vicksburg, Michigan.
We provide artists from a range of disciplines a 5 – 6 week residency with the goal of engaging with The Mill and its surrounding 80 acres of property. We have three residency sessions per year: Spring, Summer and Fall. There is a $25 fee to apply.
WHAT WE OFFER:
$2,000 stipend upon completion of the residency
$500 travel grant
Private housing
Gallery show in downtown Vicksburg
Video documentation
Membership to the Mug Club at the Distant Whistle Brewery
WHAT WE EXPECT:
Prairie Ronde is a process-based residency. Our aim is for independently driven artists to explore and grow their craft while creatively engaging with the space that we have to offer. While we are process-based, we ask that artists donate a piece of work produced during their time at the residency to our permanent collection.

Beginning in 2008 in Lafayette, Indiana, the program now spans a 14 county region in the North Central part of the state. Collectively, over 100 murals are included as a part of the Wabash Walls program.
Wabash Walls has successfully united the region and made this part of Indiana an arts destination. The success of the program is centered around partnering local community members with artists to develop theme, content, and subject matter that is specific to that population. Annually TAF presents the Wabash Walls Mural Festival, which was the first mural festival to take place in the state of Indiana.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks qualified consultants to carry out a comprehensive inventory, documentation, and condition assessment of the public art collection. By engaging in this comprehensive inventory, assessment, and documentation, DCASE aims to further its commitment to the long-term care of public art in Chicago.
The City of Chicago is home to one of the most dynamic and diverse public art collections in the United States, showcasing the city’s commitment to fostering creativity, engaging the public, and enriching its urban landscape. The Chicago Public Art Collection, which DCASE maintains, includes nearly 700 works of art exhibited in 143 municipal facilities around the city, such as airports, libraries, police stations, and parks. The Collection provides the citizens and guests of Chicago with an improved public environment and enhances City buildings and spaces with works by professional artists.
These consultant services are part of the larger Chicago Monuments Project initiative, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, to address the City's collection of monuments and memorials, ensuring responsible stewardship and providing greater access for public engagement and education. Consultants responding to this RFP will play a critical role in preserving and promoting the city’s artistic heritage while ensuring that the collection remains both accessible and appreciated by the public.
