Lori Pratico brings over 30 years of experience and creativity to the initiative. This collaborative endeavor will involve five mentee artists, providing them with the opportunity to build their mural skills and gain valuable insights into the process of creating murals. Throughout the project, the mentees will work closely with Lori Pratico, their mentor, participating in brainstorming sessions, design development, and the execution of the mural itself. The City of Deerfield Beach will be one-hundred years old on June 25, 2025 and the city is seeking the creation of murals which show the history of the city over this time. The artist/entity may focus on the history of the city, its people, historic landmarks, geography, natural and built environment, but may also demonstrate events that occurred over the one-hundred-year span, provided it is relative to the City’s experience of those event(s). Murals may be created in whatever style the artist sees best fit for their mural. As these pieces are related to the City’s celebration of its 100-year anniversary, there is a strict timeline with regards to completion.
