We are working on a grant for a 3-year grant application that will fund murals in a small, rural town in Tioga County, PA. We have building owners with walls willing to work with us and our county development office in coordination. We will update the budget and the walls available as we progress. The anticipated budget is much higher than described, but we will keep it low until we secure funding.

The mural will be across from a public “splash pad” that sees a high volume of young child and family use throughout the summer. Artists or artist teams whose proposed qualifications demonstrate, in the review panel’s sole opinion, the qualifications that best fulfill the purposes of this RFQ will move to the finalist selection phase (PHASE II). In PHASE II, artists will be hired to create proposal concepts based on specific themes. Those proposals will undergo a community jury review. The selected artist in PHASE II will be contracted to implement their mural concept in Seneca Falls, NY in 2025. Mural site: 37 Fall Street, Seneca Falls, NY -- MURAL THEME -- The mural will highlight Seneca Falls as the Birthplace of Women’s Rights, and it will depict the significant impact of this history on the community’s current identity & culture.
