Not long ago, the City of Granbury (The City) was considered a quiet, sleepy town. Today, it’s a thriving destination known for its bustling shops, vibrant restaurants, and diverse entertainment options. Now, with a growing reputation as a premier Texas getaway, Granbury has added another highlight to its list: the Granbury Regional Airport.
Located just off U.S. Highway 377, the airport recently unveiled a new 4,000-square-foot terminal and a mile-long runway. It’s quickly becoming a hub for both private aviation and corporate travel, with single-engine turboprops sharing the ramp with sleek corporate jets.
One of the most striking features of the new terminal is its cove ceiling, which creates a soft, rounded look and incorporates integrated changing LED lighting within the cove to enhance its visual effect. This ceiling was specifically engineered to support a suspended sculpture weighing up to 450 pounds.
The City of Granbury, through the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission (the Commission), is inviting artists to submit proposals for an original suspended sculpture and or mural to adorn the terminal’s cove ceiling. The City has allocated a budget of $10,000 for the design, fabrication, and installation of the piece. However, proposals with higher budgets may also be considered if they strongly align with the vision for this public art installation.

The City of Keller Public Arts Board and the Park Board have come together to form a subcommittee to oversee the design and installation of eight unique outdoor murals that shall be located at the Keller Sports Park south and west walls. The group seeks a digital artist to design each mural. This project intends to turn high resolution digital submittals into physical designs applied to brick walls through the use of brick wrap.
The outdoor murals are one element of the nearly $40 million Keller Sports Park renovation project. The expansion will feature new softball fields, youth baseball and multipurpose fields, baseball fields, a rodeo area, soccer and lacrosse fields, and a rugby field. The goal of the Sports Park Project is to bring teams and visitors to the city.
The mural project is anticipated to begin in 2025. The City of Keller will provide a 4”x6” plaque for the mural to include artwork title, artist name and year of installation.
The artist will be paid $3,425 for the design of each mural, for a total of up to $27,400 for all eight murals. This payment is inclusive of all artist’s fees. The selected artist shall receive one-half of the honorarium upon execution of contract. The second half of the honorarium shall be disbursed after the murals have been approved by the subcommittee.

EXTERNAL APP -- https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=15399 -- The NMDOT Bridge Art Program enriches New Mexico’s public spaces through an innovative and diverse public art collection. Our goal is to reflect the diversity of the arts in New Mexico, the Southwest, and the nation while building a dynamic public art collection for the State of New Mexico. Through a fair and open public involvement process, a committee made up of local and regional representatives will work with NMDOT to select an artist to work on the project. NMDOT will then commission imagery that is designed for integration directly into the architecture and design of the bridge.
Local Selection Committee (LSC) is seeking an artist (or artist team) to create site-specific designs for the Raton/Clayton Interchange I-25 @ US64/87 in Raton, New Mexico.
